Mr. GOPI who we make an interview is the Managing Director in WOODTECH. He is a dynamic young Mechanical Engineer, who also has put in more than 2 decades of working experience in the wood technology field. He also has taken successful training in machinery manufacturing facilities in Great Britain, Germany & Italy. He is also capable of design & development of special purpose wood working machineries. He has also traveled around some Asian countries to learn the latest technologies. He is one of the key persons in setting export oriented furniture manufacturing units.

Queation : 

Do you have any concept for the development of woodworking industry in Indian market in the future? Whether the demand of woodworking machinery has the growing tendency in the Indian market in the next few years? Does any impact for German, Italian and Taiwanese woodworking machine when huge quantities of the Chinese woodworking machinery join the Indian market?

Response :

-keeping quality in mind the Indian market is getting bigger we have a growth of 30% we are on here the demand of furniture in India is expected to be 9 billion USD in India and this demands is expected to grow 45 billion USD by 2025 this is the demands that forceIndia with this woodworking machinery demands also increases.Even though there are lots of Chinese machines coming to Indian  market it has not impact much on the machinery coming from 3 countries because this countries  already position  in the market with the leading technology.

Queation :

Did the panel furniture have growing tendency year to year in the past few years?  According to your experience in this woodworking industry, how many percentage of the growing tendency of the panel furniture in the next five years? How about solid wood furniture? Does it have the same growing tendency as well as panel furniture?

Response :

-yes the panel furniture  has high growth compare to solid wood furniture in Indian machinery due to the cost advantages it has, and the availability of various design and coloring in the showroom and its growth  rate  of around 30% year on year     Solid wood working furniture is also growing Indian market as the panel furniture as mention earlier panel furniture has 30% increase high growth compare to solid woodworking machine.

 

Queation :

Do you have any comment for India wood 2016? To compare with the last India wood working show, does it has more participants than last time? How about the willingness of purchasing woodworking machines? Do you have more and more competitors join the Indian market?

Response :

-India wood 2016 has always gain very good platform to all the exhibitors to showcase the technology and it has position itself has the one of the most premium show for the Industry in the South Asia region this India wood has seen large in the participants during this India wood we got higher machinery of enquire and we have done lots of sales on machine during the show. Yes, every show has their new company coming up to participate as competitor by we has wood technology as position itself has one of the leading so we do not have major threads from competition also with almost 15 years of present to industry we have bits may loyal customers and also bits very high reputation for one appreciate service so mostly the customers prefer to work with us.

 

To sum up, for Taiwan manufactures they need to find the right partners to associate in Indian market to increase the presence even though many Taiwanese companies have moved into advantage companies and build the reputation but still major company have not done anything in last 5 years so have remain as small manufacture company and today many of them suffering or finding difficult to sell the machine they have to focus on innovation and create some innovation machines.
